Renewable projects and pipeline, on cost and on schedule.

We advise developers, IPPs, funds and EPC contractors on the management of their project portfolios. We assess the maturity of their processes, implement the model each company needs and sustain it with bespoke digital tools, automations and artificial intelligence.

The challenge

Nine out of ten large projects do not finish on cost and on schedule.

Almost every developer we know works with standardised planning, a risk register and a monthly cost report. Even so, projects drift, because each tool runs on its own, the data reaches the person who decides too late and it is not clear who is accountable for each task.

€0.9M

that a 50 MW onshore wind farm fails to invoice for each month of delay, on an average European PPA. A solar plant of the same size, about €0.3M.

What is at stake

  • 64%

of European wind farms ended up costing more than budgeted.

  • 1,700 GW

of renewable and hybrid projects are waiting for a grid connection in 16 European countries.

  • −0.45 pt

of IRR with one more year of development.

  • 34%

of European power companies already use AI, but almost no energy company has it built into its management at scale.

In our experience it is almost never the team that fails. What tends to fail is the management: governance, processes and the tools used to apply them.

Where to start

Which processes are missing and what artificial intelligence agents can already do.

We give an independent assessment of ten areas, from governance to lessons learned. The report sets out the maturity of each one, what already works, the findings ordered by their effect on cost and schedule, the processes where AI agents could work and a roadmap in phases. It takes the company a questionnaire and one session, and the report arrives within a week. It carries no cost and no commitment of any kind. Each month we accept a limited number of diagnostics.

Example

Processes existed in almost every area. They were partly followed, but rarely changed a decision in time. Nothing was automated.

The roadmap sets the first year. What comes next is planned with what that year teaches.

Method

Ten areas decide cost and schedule.

Governance is the base, and nine processes rest on it, from feasibility to lessons learned. On the roof work the agents and applications that sustain them.

The firm

Whoever knows the project builds the tool.

Renewable projects
Direct experience in the development, construction and operation of wind, solar and BESS.
Artificial intelligence and automation
